A Home for the Holidays

Winter is coming, and Romanians are starting to feel the cooler weather in their bones. Outside, the people are bundling up with more and heavier clothes. Inside, they can turn up the stove and heat some soup to stay warm.

What about the animals?

We have contracted with a local carpenter to build 100 doghouses for the strays in Romania. These dogs will finally have a roof over their heads to help break the chill of the Romanian winter. The person who donates the most money to this fundraiser will get a new roof over their head, in the form of a $300 gift certificate to Marriott Hotels & Resorts.

Donate $40 to get a doghouse built today.

Prepping for Winter

Chilly mornings tell us autumn is noticeably here. Some trees turn colors and drop their leaves. We turn indoors, seeking the warmth of the fireplace, family, and friends. RAR's New Target City for Animal Welfare

Our work in Braila is challenging. We are working with Daniela Dragomir to set up free spay/neuter (as funding permits) in Braila, and we would also like to see animal welfare brought to the city of Braila in general. This town is currently in a crisis mode, as the animals have had very few people that are helping them--much of this due to pressure by the city. Sounds like just the type of situation in which RAR intervenes!
