Rescue These Survivors

Play Slideshow

When Staso was rescued his legs were so crooked he could barely walk. In Romania a local vet diagnosed Staso with a thyroid problem and bandaged his legs. Since being rescued and cared for in Holland, he has improved dramatically. He was transported from Romania to Holland for foster care. There, a very good vet believes his bones were deformed because of a combination of poor diet, distemper as a young pup, and possibly thyroid. Staso also has dermodex (a skin condition) and mites (scabies). Now with a good diet he has put on lots of weight. His long nails were clipped so he can walk happily and comfortably. You may recognize the dog he is playing with is Lucille!
