Bitza
Hi Nancy, finally arrived home with Bitza. He slept on my lap, the whole 2 hours drive back home. Once in a while he looked up at me, and licked my hands, and every time he looks at me he wags his tail. Oh, I just love this dog.
Norocoasa
In 2009, I had lost my dog and I suppose I was more vulnerable to the situation. After a few days, I met a sweet little dog, the only one in the neighborhood who was not initially aggressive. (Once the dogs know an individual won't hurt them, they are more "wags than barks," but until then, they are weary, and rightfully so.)
Siena
Letitia, a Romanian resident, found a puppy with a broken leg, presumably hit by a car. The puppy was about 3-4 months old and had a femur fracture. Letitia took her to the doctor, who put the broken leg in a cast. The puppy received vaccines and deparasite medicine. Now her leg is fully healed, she is eating well, gaining weight, playing with other dogs, etc. She is sociable with other animals and children, likes traveling in the car and would be an adorable dog for any family.
Fifi
This poor little soul was spayed by city hall in Braila. It is obvious from these photos that her leg needs immediate medical treatment. Despite a vet spaying her, her leg was not mended.
